The GymFlash® Approach
The GymFlash® approach is unique in that it is holistic, developmental appropriate and involves a cross-discipline approach in teaching your children about movement and the world around them. Interaction with other children, listening to and carrying out instructions is integral in the GymFlash® approach.

Our aim is also to nurture children’s spontaneity through the imagination while associating various movements to the things around them. As music is a delight to the ears, its use together with familiar rhymes, becomes a powerful stimulus that helps to develop a sense of rhythm, and sustains children’s interests in movement.

GymFlash®: Vision and Philosophy

The process of teaching GymFlash® is completely different to the traditional form of gymnastics. Gone are the set criteria (difficulty, precision, accuracy) by which competitive gymnastics are judged. In its place is the the goal to encourage the child (regardless of age, gender, size, race, skill level and physical aptitude) to develop a movement response or a specific skill in the context of their own abilities and understanding.

The elements of creativity, guided discovery and conceptualization of a task at hand are emphasized through a variety of teaching styles used. Through these means, the physical, cognitive and affective goals of a lesson can be achieved.

Our vision is for GymFlash® to help you become a more effective and creative PE teacher, allowing you to teach movement and gymnastics in a safe, competent and enjoyable way.
